The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo Emmanuel, has expressed profound appreciation to God, Governor Dapo Abiodun and party faithful following his emergence as the party’s flagbearer in the recently concluded primary elections.
Dr. Taiwo spoke during a special thanksgiving service held on Tuesday at the Ogun State Governor’s Office Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, where party leaders, government officials, supporters and well-wishers gathered to celebrate his nomination.
The former Chief of Staff described his victory at the primaries as a collective achievement for the APC family, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him through dedicated service and people-oriented representation.
He paid glowing tribute to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, commending what he described as the Governor’s sacrifices, inclusive leadership and commitment to preserving peace and internal democracy throughout the party’s primary process.
According to him, the Governor’s leadership helped sustain unity within the ruling party and provided a level playing field for aspirants across the state.
Dr. Taiwo also used the occasion to rally support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging party faithful and the electorate to remain united in order to consolidate on the developmental strides recorded under the current administration.
In a major political declaration, the House of Representatives candidate called on Ogun people to support the APC ticket across all levels, specifically endorsing Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) for the governorship and backing Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat.
He stressed that continuity of progressive leadership would further accelerate development, strengthen governance and enhance opportunities for the people of Ogun State.
The thanksgiving service concluded with special prayers for peace, unity and electoral success for APC candidates, as party leaders and supporters reaffirmed their commitment to working together ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
