Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Samuel Animashaun Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has shared an emotional video reflecting on a traumatic experience in March 2026, promising to give a fuller account of the incident on Wednesday, October 21.
In the video posted on his Instagram account on Monday, October 19, the entertainer appeared visibly emotional as he revisited the experience, describing it as “a day in my life I wish had never happened.”
The footage includes scenes of him being rushed to a medical facility on a stretcher, with visible bloodstains, offering a glimpse into the ordeal that prompted widespread concern among fans earlier in the year.
In the accompanying message, Shaggi thanked his supporters and announced that he would share his story on Wednesday, although he did not provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
His post has generated reactions from fans and fellow entertainers, many of whom welcomed the update and expressed support for the comedian.
Reported March shooting:
Shaggi’s latest post comes months after reports emerged that he sustained a gunshot injury while filming a comedy skit around the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March.
Contemporary media reports said he was initially taken to a hospital in Alakuko, Lagos, before being transferred to another medical facility in Ikeja for further treatment.
However, the Ogun State Police Command said in March that it could not confirm the reported shooting, stating that no such incident had been reported at any police formation in the state at the time.
The command said investigations had been initiated to establish the circumstances surrounding the reports.
The entertainer’s latest video has renewed public interest in the incident, with his promised account expected to provide further insight into his experience.
