Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, on the celebration of his 20th coronation anniversary, describing the milestone as a testament to two decades of purposeful and impactful leadership.
Oba Gbadebo, the 10th Alake of Egbaland, ascended the throne on November 19, 2005.
In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, Governor Abiodun praised the monarch for his sustained commitment to peace, unity and cultural preservation in Egbaland, noting that his reign has significantly advanced socio-economic development across Ogun State.
“I join the government and good people of Ogun State in congratulating His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo (Okukenu IV), the Alake of Egbaland, on the momentous occasion of his 20th anniversary on the throne”, the governor said.
He added that Kabiyesi’s reign has been marked by “wisdom, dignity and an unwavering commitment to the peace, unity and development of Egbaland and Ogun State at large”, emphasizing the monarch’s support for governance initiatives and community advancement.
Governor Abiodun further praised Oba Gbadebo’s role in promoting harmony among diverse groups, describing his leadership as “graceful, compassionate and dedicated to the welfare of his people”.
The governor prayed that God would continue to grant the Alake long life, sound health and greater wisdom as he continues his service to Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria.
