Lagos, Nigeria – In a tragic turn of events, popular TikTok content creator, Sesan, widely known as ‘DisturbingTiktok’, has passed away after suffering a seizure during a live broadcast session.
The incident, which occurred in Ikorodu on Friday morning, has sparked a wave of sorrow and outrage across social media platforms, with some individuals attributing it to drug abuse, while others suggest it was a spiritual attack.
However, his wife has come out to strongly deny those rumours, explaining that he had a known medical condition.
According to his pregnant wife, Omowunmi, the medical emergency unfolded while she was preparing a meal in the kitchen.
In her emotional account, she explained thus:
“Yesterday morning, my husband was on a TikTok live video while I was cooking his food in the kitchen. Suddenly, he had a seizure, fell down and hit his head on a stone that was in front of him. Blood was coming out of his head. A young boy and some neighbors that were passing then saw him. They thought he fainted, so they started pouring water on him. The young boy ran inside and called me from the kitchen. When I got there, I told them to stop pouring water and that it was a seizure. We quickly rushed him to the hospital where they placed him on oxygen. He passed away this morning.”
Omowunmi also refuted widespread rumors suggesting his death was the result of a spiritual attack and clarified that her late husband had been battling with seizure episodes and was on medications.
“That was not the first time he would be having seizures. He used to have them and he is on medications. The last time he had it was in February. I have never left him to be by himself because of this seizure. If not that I was cooking in the kitchen, I would have grabbed him when the seizure happened. To everyone saying it was a spiritual attack, that is false. It was a medical condition he had been battling with. It is not a spiritual attack,” she emphasized.
The heartbreaking incident has left fans, friends, and the larger TikTok community, especially the people of Ikorodu, where he was based in Lagos State, mourning a voice that consistently advocated for justice, particularly in the fight for late singer Mohbad.
