The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has pledged to consolidate and expand the achievements of Governor Dapo Abiodun if elected governor in 2027.
Adeola made the commitment on Thursday at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, during a mega rally organised by Caucus 7202, where thousands of supporters from across Ogun State gathered to reaffirm their support for the APC and its candidates.
Describing Abiodun as a “silent achiever,” Adeola said the governor’s seven years in office had laid a foundation that his administration would build upon rather than abandon.
“I will take the gains of Governor Abiodun to the Itesiwaju level”, Adeola declared, expressing confidence that the APC would retain power in the state in 2027.
The APC candidate also dismissed speculation about any alliance with opposition parties, urging party members and supporters to remain focused on the election.
He said the APC possessed the structure, organisation and grassroots support required to secure victory, while commending Caucus 7202 and other support groups for their mobilisation efforts.

Abiodun Backs Adeola, Says APC Ready:
Governor Abiodun, who addressed the rally attended by supporters drawn from the state’s 20 local government areas, described the turnout as evidence of the APC’s unity, strength and preparedness for the 2027 elections.
He expressed confidence in Adeola’s capacity to lead the state, citing his experience and years of public service.
The governor also urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and take the APC’s programmes, policies and achievements to wards and communities across the state.
Abiodun further reaffirmed Ogun’s commitment to delivering two million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Caucus 7202 Claims 180,000-Member Network:
The Director-General of Caucus 7202, Moctar Koiki, said the organisation had approximately 180,000 members across Ogun State, with more than 90 per cent, according to him, being non-partisan.
Koiki described Caucus 7202 as an independent political support group established to mobilise support for Tinubu, Abiodun’s senatorial ambition, Adeola’s governorship bid and other APC candidates.
He said the organisation would deploy its structures across the state’s 20 local government areas to mobilise voters ahead of the elections.
The rally builds on Caucus 7202’s earlier mobilisation activities across Ogun. The group has previously endorsed Tinubu, Abiodun and Adeola for their respective 2027 contests and raised funds in support of Adeola’s governorship nomination bid.
Sanusi Tasks Members on Voter Education:
The Ogun APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, charged party members to take the APC manifesto to the grassroots and educate voters on the party’s programmes, policies and achievements.
He stressed that sustained grassroots engagement, voter education and disciplined mobilisation would be critical to the party’s performance in 2027.
Premier World News reports that the rally marks another significant mobilisation exercise by the APC and its support groups as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 Ogun governorship election.
