Ogun PDP Hails Emergence of Omotaje, Bello at Southwest Congress

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has elected Mr. Oluwole Omotaje as Zonal Secretary and Ambassador Marcus Folake Bello as Zonal Woman Leader at its Southwest Zonal Congress held on Thursday in Lagos.

The emergence of the duo was confirmed at the congress, which brought together party stakeholders across the Southwest region, signaling renewed efforts to strengthen internal structures and consolidate party unity ahead of future elections.

Reacting to the development, the Ogun State chapter of the PDP described the outcome as a positive reflection of the state’s growing influence within the regional political framework.

In a statement issued by the Ogun State Publicity Secretary, Kayode Adebayo, the party extended its congratulations to the newly elected officials, expressing confidence in their capacity to deliver effective leadership.

“This development is an eloquent testament to Ogun State PDP and a clear indication of the party’s growing strength and continued unity across the region”, the statement read.

The party further commended both leaders, expressing optimism that their tenure would be impactful and beneficial to the party’s progress in the Southwest.

“The leadership and entire PDP family in Ogun State heartily extend warm congratulations to both leaders and wish them a successful and impactful tenure in office”, the statement added.

Premier World News reports that the Southwest Zonal Congress comes at a critical time as parties across the region reposition and strengthen their internal structures ahead of the next electoral cycle.
