Ogun PDP congratulates Adeleke, salutes Judiciary’s courage

In Nigeria, the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has extended its words of felicitation to all the party’s faithful on the judicial success recorded by the party and the governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke at the Supreme Court.

This message was contained in a statement signed and released on Wednesdayby the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Bankole Akinloye, noting that – “yesterday’s supreme court judgment is no doubt a bold restoration of people’s will”.

Akinloye also expressed that – “the judgement is a further assurance that the judiciary remains last hope of the commonman, especially when the popular will of the people is brazenly confronted by worst enemies of democratic values”.

While appreciating the judiciary for displaying uncommon courage, Akinloye added that – “it is important to also commend the good people of Osun for their endurance and unwavering support for our great party, despite the needless intimidation and oppressive tendencies of the All Progressive Congress, APC, both in Osun State and Nigeria at large”.

He further said that “again, our party, with this judgement has been further emboldened and encouraged to pursue, using the instrumentality of the judiciary, all our legitimate mandate particularly in Ogun State and in other states where we have established reckless theft of our freely-given mandate”.

“As such, our great party is fully prepared to partner with the people, with the view to positioning the people for unlimited greatness and prosperity”.

He also urged the Judiciary to continue to be firmin the spirit of justice against falsehood and lies, irrespective of who it might hurt, adding that no individual or authority is above the law.
