Earlier today, the State Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Sunkanmi Oyejide, ‘SUCO visited his hometown, Oke-Ogun, Onisasa Ward 16, Abeokuta North local government, Ogun state, to express gratitude to hundreds of people for the unwavering support and victorious votes casted for party’s candidates in the just concluded 2023 national elections.
Recall that yesterday, the youth leader won his ward polling unit, Onisasa Ward 8, for the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Ogun central senatorial candidate, Chief Olumide Aderinokun and the House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Shoyemi Coker respectively.
At the polling unit, PDP’s Atiku scored 83 votes over APC’s Tinubu 40 votes, the Ogun central senatorial candidate, Aderinokun won with 74 votes margin, as PDP scored 104 votes to defeat Shuaib Salisu of APC’s 30 votes, while the PDP House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Shoyemi Coker scored 102 votes to defeat Olumide Osoba of the APC’s 32 votes.
Visiting and appreciating the voters from one village to the other, ‘SUCO’ charged the people not relent, but rather, repeat the same trend for the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu come March 11 governorship election, as well as the Ogun House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Taofeek Oladapo Ogunjimi.
He said, “I have come to thank and appreciate you for the victorious votes casted for PDP yesterday, which would not have been possible without your unwavering support. You have expressed your trust in our party and all our candidates and I promise that you will never be disappointed”.
“As we celebrate our landslide win for Atiku, Aderinokun and Coker in our Polling Unit and communities, I want us to know that it is not over until it is over because, we still have governorship and State Houseof Assembly’s elections to do”.
“My dear people, I look forward to get more supports and votes for our governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu and State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Taofeek Oladapo Ogunjimi come March 11 governorship and House of Assembly elections because, they are the only ones that can help our community to grow and develop further”.
“Please let us do it again, your support and votes for Adebutu and Ogunjimi are needed for the benefit of our villages, communities and Ogun state as a whole, and I am certain that we will never lack or regret anything under the PDP government”, SUCO expressed.
He further commended the canvassers for a good job and solid mobilisation carried out by them, which led to PDP’s win at the polling unit.
This is coming from the youth leader, a day after the 2023 national elections in Nigeria.
