Lagos – The Federation of Nigerian Youth (FNY) has successfully conducted its National Congress and National Elections, culminating in the emergence of a new National Executive Council to steer the affairs of the youth-led organization.
The Congress, held on February 22, 2026, in Lagos State, attracted delegates and representatives from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, North Central, North East, North West, South East, South South and South West, reflecting what the organization described as its commitment to inclusivity, unity and national character.
According to the Federation, the Congress was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere, with deliberations centered on youth development, governance participation and strategic positioning of Nigerian youths in nation-building.
“The peaceful conduct of the elections further reinforces the Federation’s commitment to democratic principles, fairness, accountability and due process”, the statement noted.

The Congress Electoral Committee was commended for overseeing what stakeholders described as a transparent and credible process.
