Abeokuta – The Ogun State Football Association has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, on the occasion of his birthday, joining a host of well-wishers across the state in honouring the distinguished statesman.
In a statement personally signed by the Chairman of the Ogun State Football Association and Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, the association praised Mr. Talabi’s unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Ogun State, particularly his steadfast support for sports and youth empowerment initiatives.
“Today, we celebrate not just the birth of an exceptional public servant, but a visionary leader whose dedication and leadership have significantly shaped the socio-economic and sporting landscape of our dear state,” Alhaji Majekodunmi said.
The association acknowledged Mr. Talabi’s instrumental role in fostering a supportive environment for grassroots sports to flourish.
It noted that his consistent encouragement and policy advocacy have provided opportunities for young talents to thrive across local communities in the state.
The statement further reiterated the association’s appreciation for Mr. Talabi’s contributions to the advancement of football and called for continued collaboration to deepen youth engagement and development through sports.
