Abdullahi Abacha, the second to the last son of the late Nigerian Military Dictator, Sani Abacha has died on Friday night in Abuja, Nigeria.
Abdullahi Abacha was discovered dead in the early hour of Saturday in his mother’s residence at No 39, Nelson Mandela Street, Asokoro, Abuja.
He died in his sleep and was confirmed by multiple sources including a tweet by his sister, Gumsu Sani Abacha, who sought prayers and support from the public.
Family sources in Kano State also disclosed that Abdullahi was hale and hearty the night before his death, and expressed shock at his demise.
Abdullahi was born in 1987 while the late Abacha was still in power, and lived for 36 years before his demise.
Premiers World News reports that – Abdullahi Abacha was unmarried until his death, and was one of the nine children of the former Head of State.
Premier World News also gathered that funeral prayers were said for him at the National Mosque, Abuja at about 5:00pm yesterday, while Islamic burial rites followed immediately.
